July 19 2020 – “Living On Grace Power”

Psalm 29:1-11 GNB
“Praise the LORD, you heavenly beings; praise his glory and power.
Praise the LORD ‘s glorious name; bow down before the Holy One when he appears.
The voice of the LORD is heard on the seas; the glorious God thunders, and his voice echoes over the ocean.

The voice of the LORD is heard in all its might and majesty.

The voice of the LORD breaks the cedars, even the cedars of Lebanon. He makes the mountains of Lebanon jump like calves and makes Mount Hermon leap like a young bull.

The voice of the LORD makes the lightning flash. His voice makes the desert shake; he shakes the desert of Kadesh.

The LORD ‘s voice shakes the oaks and strips the leaves from the trees while everyone in his Temple shouts, “Glory to God!”

The LORD rules over the deep waters; he rules as king for ever. The LORD gives strength to his people and blesses them with peace.”

Romans 6:12-14 GNB

“Sin must no longer rule in your mortal bodies, so that you obey the desires of your natural self. Nor must you surrender any part of yourselves to sin to be used for wicked purposes. Instead, give yourselves  to God, as those who have been brought from death to life, and surrender your whole being to Him to be used for righteous purposes. Sin must not be your master; for you do not live under law but under God’s grace.”

Romans 6:22-23 GNB

“But now you have been set free from sin and are the slaves of God. Your gain is a life fully dedicated to Him, and the result is eternal life. For sin pays its wage — death; but God’s free gift is eternal life in union with Christ Jesus our Lord.”
